Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected cannabis buds worth about $2.26 million at airport

Hong Kong Customs today (September 14) detected a drug trafficking case involving baggage concealment at Hong Kong International Airport. About 11.2 kilograms of suspected cannabis buds with an estimated market value of about $2.26 million were seized.
A 34-year-old Mainland male passenger arrived in Hong Kong from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, today. During customs clearance, seven bags of the suspected cannabis buds, weighing about 11.2kg in total, were found inside his check-in suitcase. The man was subsequently arrested.
An investigation of the case is ongoing.
