A taste of the tropics lands in the desert this fall.
Launched in dispensaries across Arizona this October, Abstrakt has expanded its lineup of extracts with the official drop of Maui Wowie 2g AIO (all-in-one) vape.
Originating from Hawaii’s volcanic soil and known for its fruity, island flavor, this sweet, tropical strain has been a staple of cannabis culture for decades. Now concentrated into ultra-potent liquid diamonds and delivered via cutting-edge hardware, the newest launch from Abstrakt offers a little island escape without the need to book a flight.
For the uninitiated, Abstrakt is a brand built around a simple idea: premium THC products without compromise. Based in Arizona, the company was founded by cannabis aficionados and has made concentrates its niche. Think solvent-free distillates and liquid diamonds.
For Abstrakt, quality starts in the lab. Which is why they double distill all starting materials, a step meant to produce a cleaner, higher-quality distillate. From there, they reintroduce strain-specific botanical terpenes in small-batch formulations to ensure consistent taste and potency from one device to the next.
The focus is products that pair strong potency with big flavors at budget-friendly prices. And the lineup includes a range of flavor-forward strains like Wizard Piss, Peachy Keen, and Baja Express. Now, it’s adding Maui Wowie to the mix.
What makes Maui Wowie so famous?
Even if you’ve never tried it, you’ve probably heard the name. Maui Wowie (sometimes spelled Maui Waui) originated in Hawaii circa the late 1960s or ’70s. At the time, much of the American market was stuck with low-potency, seedy imports from Mexico and Colombia. Maui Wowie stood out. It was stronger than what most people were used to, and it had a sweet, tropical smell that made it unforgettable.
That combination of potency and unmistakable aroma has made it a legend that endures today. Maui Wowie helped usher in a new era of cannabis connoisseurship, one where people started caring about strain genetics, terp profiles, and bag appeal, not just getting high.
What to expect: Flavor and vibes
Abstrakt’s Maui Wowie 2g AIO stays faithful to the traditional flower, reinterpreting the legendary cultivar into a sweet tropical nectar that owes its aroma to a terpene profile led by three main players: Terpinolene, Beta-Caryophyllene, and Alpha-Phellandrene, the combo of which delivers pineapple with notes of citrus, pine, and pepper.
Maui Wowie also has a reputation as an uplifting, daytime-friendly strain. People often reach for it when they want a sunny mood and gentle waves of euphoria.
As always, effects vary from person to person. Start low, go slow, and see how it hits you, especially with a potent concentrate like this one.
Ceramic hardware: HPP explained
Abstrakt’s Maui Wowie 2g AIO vape offers double the usual capacity and upgraded ceramic hardware at a budget-friendly price point. Plus, it’s an all-in-one, which means there’s no cartridge to screw on and no separate battery. You just pick it up and go.
While it’s made with liquid diamonds, known for high potency and big flavor, even a great concentrate can fall flat if the device heating it isn’t up to par. That’s why Abstrakt built its AIO device with what it calls an HPP (High Performance Porous) ceramic heating element.
While other vapes might use metal coils or basic wick designs, a ceramic core spreads heat more evenly and consistently, which reduces the risk of creating uneven hot spots that can scorch terpenes and make your weed taste burnt or stale.

In practice, this means the flavor of your last pull should taste a lot like your first. If you’ve ever noticed a vape fading into a harsh, toasty mess halfway through, that’s the problem this design is meant to fix.
Powering each device is a 300mAh (that means milliampere-hour) battery, tuned for steady draw resistance and quick vapor production. When it needs a recharge, USB-C charging gets it back up to speed fast, so you aren’t stuck with a dead battery before you’ve worked through all two grams.
These vapes are also sleek and discreet, so they’re easy to hold and easy to slip into your pocket. From a backyard get-together in Scottsdale to a sunset hike in Sedona, it goes wherever your day does.
