A foreign national has been arrested by Sri Lanka Customs officers at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake, after being found in possession of a large stock of Hashish valued at around Rs. 377 million.

The suspect was taken into custody at midnight yesterday (June 19) while attempting to enter Sri Lanka through the ‘Gold Route’ passenger terminal, a facility used by premium passengers who pay for expedited clearance services, officials said.
