On September 19, the Western Hemisphere Joint Operational and Tactical Task Force, under the command of the U.S. Southern Command, struck a speedboat in the Caribbean.

U.S. Southern Command officials said the vessel was traveling along a known drug-trafficking route and was being used to transport narcotics. According to the U.S. military, intelligence confirmed the boat’s involvement in the illegal transportation of drugs.
Four people were killed in the strike, whom the U.S. side identified as involved in drug trafficking.
