Travis Kelce sparked discussion by appearing in a new promotion for his energy drink brand soon after his widely publicized New York City wedding to Taylor Swift.
Kelce and Swift exchanged vows before 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden on July 3. The next day, Kelce appeared in an advertisement for Accelerator Active Energy, a zero-sugar energy drink company he co-owns and represents as a brand ambassador.
The advertisement quickly drew attention online, with many people accusing the NFL star of capitalizing on the buzz surrounding his nuptials.
The campaign, shared on the company’s official Instagram account, consisted of two images with a clear wedding theme. In the first, Kelce is seen holding a can of the drink while looking back over his shoulder with a smile. The words “Happily. Ever. After.” were written above his head.
The second image features a vintage red truck with a “Just Married” sign and cans of the energy drink attached to the rear bumper. The setting appears to be a busy NYC street, which may reference the location of Kelce and Swift’s wedding. The brand captioned the post, “The love story continues… CONGRATS @killatrav!!!”

The ad promptly sparked discussion on Reddit. One commenter wrote, “They’re 1000% monetizing their eventual kids at this rate. It’ll make the kids from family YouTube channels look normal by comparison,” while another said, “Nothing says Happily Ever After like a paid sponsorship” (per Daily Mail).
Meanwhile, others viewed the promotion as excessive, with one Redditor noting, “This whole thing feels so dystopian and bizarre. They’re taking it so much farther than I think people expected? I keep waiting for it be a PR stunt or satire, it’s just so yuck.”
Another person suggested the second image appeared to have been created using artificial intelligence. They commented, “The street signs are an obvious giveaway that this is AI… a One Way sign with arrows in both directions? The garbled nonsense text on the green sign below that one? And the reflection on the bumper is *not* reflecting Manhattan, it looks like Kansas.”
However, not everyone reacted negatively. Many of Kelce’s fans welcomed the campaign, with one Instagram user writing, “LOVE THIS” and another saying, “Ah this is so cute congratulations t and t.”
A third commenter said, “Congratulations! Such a beautiful day of celebration for all who love Travis and Taylor!”
