The Ring‘s Daveigh Chase has sadly passed away at the young age of 35.
Her partner, Roy Hernandez, confirmed this tragic news to TMZ. A cause of death was also released.

The site reported, “Daveigh died Tuesday from meningitis and an infection in her blood, which caused her to have septic issues and led to her body shutting down.”
She was apparently hospitalized earlier in the month for malnutrition. No further information has been revealed at this time, but we will share more updates as they come in.
Daveigh was widely recognized for her portrayal of Samara Morgan in The Ring, as well as for lending her voice to Lilo in Lilo & Stitch and Chihiro in the English-language version of Spirited Away. She also appeared as Samantha Darko in Donnie Darko. Among her career achievements, Daveigh won a Young Artist Award for Lilo & Stitch.
