Ryan Gosling is reportedly working on a Bamm-Bamm Rubble project.
The 45-year-old Barbie star and his production partner Jessie Henderson are in “early development” on a live-action movie at Warner Bros. based on the beloved club-swinging The Flintstones character as “a grown-up,” according to Deadline.
The production team is now looking for a writer.
The character of Bamm-Bamm appeared as a four-year-old in the 1994 live-action movie, and was portrayed in a loincloth and hat as a toddler in the original series. He also appeared as a teenager in the CBS Saturday morning animated series The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show, and as an adult in I Yabba-Dabba Do!, Hollyrock-a-Bye Baby and A Flintstone Family Christmas sporting the same hairstyle.
The original Hanna-Barbera animated series ran from 1960 to 1966. The two live-action Flintstones movies brought in over $400 million at the global box office.
Bamm-Bamm appeared in the HBO Max series Yabba Dabba Dinosaurs from 2021 to 2022 most recently. The show focused on the lives of best friends Pebbles Flintstone and Bamm-Bamm Rubble, who are joined by Dino for adventures in the Stone Age.
