Princess Diana‘s heart would reportedly break over the feud between Prince William and Prince Harry.
According to royal author Simon Vigar, the late Princess of Wales would be deeply unhappy about her sons no longer having a relationship.
Diana would be ‘devastated’ by William and Harry’s rift
While Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet recently visited with King Charles III and Queen Camilla, William was nowhere in sight.
“[Princess] Diana would be devastated that it has turned out like this, particularly because [the brothers] were once so close,” the writer told People.
The mother-of-two died in a car crash in Paris in 1997 when her oldest child was 15 years old, and her youngest was 12.
Harry needs to ‘move’ and apologize to William
After Harry and his wife left The Firm in 2020, their public remarks about life within the institution damaged trust with their relatives.

“The rift is very profound and very long-lasting,” royal historian Robert Lacey told the outlet.
“It will not be changed, in my opinion, until Harry makes a move and apologizes,” he explained.
Diana would have been a ‘peacemaker’ for William and Harry
If Diana were alive today, biographer Andrew Morton feels she would be the person bringing her kids together.
“Diana always used to say she had two boys for a reason — the younger would be there to support the older in the lonely task as future King,” he told People.
“There is no doubt Diana would have tried to act as a peacemaker between them. If she had been around, they would have worked things out in a different way,” the expert claimed.
Harry wants to mend fences with his family
During a 2025 interview with the BBC, Harry emphasized how he wanted to repair his broken dynamics with his family members.
“There have been so many disagreements between myself and some of my family,” the father of two said.
“I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious,” he added.
