Prince Harry reportedly knows how to make Prince William tick.
According to royal expert Rob Shuter, Buckingham Palace insiders claim the Duke of Sussex knows his reunion with King Charles III will become a point of contention between the current and future leaders of England.
Harry’s ‘leverage’ over Charles and William
Following Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet‘s visit with His Majesty and Queen Camilla at Highgrove, a source alleged that the Spare author thinks that getting closer to his father will drive his brother crazy.
“Harry doesn’t just know where the weak spots are — he knows how to use them,” the insider told Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack.
“He understands exactly where Charles and William see things differently and he knows how to put them on opposite sides of the same issue. That’s where he has leverage,” they noted.
Harry knows the reunion with Charles will ‘infuriate’ William
The Prince of Wales did not see Harry while he was in England. However, the 41-year-old reportedly believes making nice with Charles would be a positive PR move.

“Harry knew exactly what the optics would be,” the source said.
“A meeting with Charles was always going to infuriate William. Harry understands that his father still thinks like a parent, while William thinks like the future King,” they continued. “Those are two very different mindsets, and Harry knows how to play to both.”
William’s ‘trust’ in Harry is ‘gone’ after ‘Spare’
After the publication of Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare, the Prince of Wales isn’t eager to mend fences with his sibling.
“William’s trust is gone,” the insider explained.
“Harry knows reconciliation with Charles, even in small steps, puts enormous pressure on William,” they continued. “He understands exactly how those dynamics play out — and he’s prepared to use them when it suits him.”
William doesn’t think Harry has ‘earned’ his way back into the family
According to royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, William doesn’t feel Harry deserves the 77-year-old’s sympathy.
“Prince William probably understands why his father did it, even if he wouldn’t have done it himself,” the expert told Page Six.
“He can appreciate that a father living with cancer wants to see his son and grandchildren, while still believing that Harry has not earned his way back into the family’s confidence,” Schofield claimed.
