Ask ten dispensary buyers where they get their pop-tops and you’ll hear the same few names. PackTHC, MJ Wholesale and Dragon Chewer all sell to dispensaries, brands and cultivators across the US, all run Shopify storefronts with case pricing on the page, and all carry the Chubby Gorilla-style containers buyers keep asking for. On paper they look interchangeable.
They aren’t. Each one is built around a different kind of buyer, and picking the wrong one usually shows up as either paying for things you don’t need or chasing a supplier for things they don’t do well. Prices and policies below are taken from each company’s website in October 2026. Check them again before you order, because case prices in this market move often.
The short version
If you want a packaging specialist with in-house manufacturing, several US stocking locations and a price-match policy, PackTHC is the strongest fit. If your store also sells glass, lighters and papers and you’d rather run one purchase order for everything, MJ Wholesale makes more sense. If you sell in several states and want compliance labels sorted by state alongside your containers, look hard at Dragon Chewer.
Now the details.
PackTHC
PackTHC sells marijuana packaging and very little else. The catalog covers pop-top vials, pre-roll tubes from 78mm to 116mm, glass and plastic jars, concentrate jars in 5ml, 7ml and 9ml, mylar bags in the standard 3.5g to 28g sizes, and the Spiral, Aviator and Unicorn lines from Chubby Gorilla. Outside packaging there’s a short list of dispensary basics: gloves, paper cones from brands like Raw and Elements, and thermal paper.
The point that separates PackTHC from the other two is manufacturing. The company lists in-house manufacturing on its site and photographs its production floor, which matters when a batch comes in off-spec or you need a small change to a stock item. Most distributors can only pass your complaint up the chain.
Location is the other practical advantage. PackTHC lists its headquarters in New York plus locations in Texas, Florida, Michigan and California. For a dispensary in Houston or Detroit, that’s the difference between ground shipping from the next state and freight from the other coast.
Pricing sits at the low end of the market on core items. A 600-count case of 6 dram child-resistant pop-top vials lists at $45.50, which works out to under eight cents a vial, and 1,000 CR pre-roll pop-top tubes in 116mm list at $69. PackTHC also runs a price-match policy on identical products, so if a competitor undercuts a specific SKU you can ask them to match it rather than splitting your order.
Before committing, you can order a sample kit for $19.99 in shipping. That amount is credited back as store credit on your first bulk order, and the kit includes vials, tubes, bags, jars, concentrate containers and Chubby Gorilla bottles. Custom labels, custom packaging and private label work go through a quote form. There’s also a size calculator on the site for working out which container fits a given weight, which helps anyone new to dram sizing.
Where it falls short: if you need smoke-shop retail stock (pipes, lighters, vape batteries) you’ll still need a second supplier.
MJ Wholesale
MJ Wholesale is the generalist of the three. Its packaging range is broad (pop-tops from 6 to 90 dram, tubes from 70mm to 116mm, mylar bags up to 2 lb, flower jars, concentrate containers and pharmacy-style paper bags), but it sits inside a much larger catalog of glass pipes, dab tools, rolling papers, lighters, vape hardware from brands like CCELL and Yocan, Futurola cone-filling machines and point-of-sale displays.
For a head shop or a dispensary with a large accessories wall, that range is the main reason to buy here. One account, one invoice, one delivery.
MJ Wholesale’s strongest packaging service is label application. It prints custom labels in any shape or size and applies them to tubes, jars and bags before shipping, with a promotion running at 10 cents per blunt tube including the label and application. If you don’t have a labeling setup in-house, this saves real staff hours.
The company states there’s no order minimum and offers free shipping on orders of $2,000 or more. It also claims same-day shipping and says 90% of orders arrive within three days.
The trade-off is focus. With smoke-shop goods, hydroponics and office supplies on the same site, packaging is one department among many. Buyers who want detailed guidance on child-resistant certification or state compliance may find a packaging-only supplier easier to deal with.
Dragon Chewer
Dragon Chewer has been running since 2009 and says it carries more than 900 products, with prices starting at four cents a unit on its cheapest pre-roll tubes. It covers the usual containers and bags, plus two areas where it goes further than the others.
The first is compliance labels organized by state. Dragon Chewer sells universal THC symbol and warning labels formatted for California, Colorado, Oregon, Oklahoma, Washington, Michigan, Montana, New York, New Mexico, Minnesota, Nevada and Maine and Massachusetts, many at about a cent per label in 1,000-count rolls. For a multi-state operator, being able to order containers and the matching state labels in one cart is genuinely useful.
The second is pre-roll boxes. Its child-resistant slider and flip boxes (Pinch-N-Flip, Snap Pack and Press-N-Pull) start around 37 cents a unit and give premium pre-roll brands something better than a plain tube.
Dragon Chewer also offers pop-tops up to 160 dram, ocean-plastic PCR containers, a Made in the USA product line, a sample pack and local pickup. Free shipping applies to eligible orders, and many items come in 100-unit trial cases. Its storefront shows a 4.73 average from 454 reviews.
Custom printing is available, but you start it by emailing the sales team, with minimums and lead times quoted per project. And like MJ Wholesale, Dragon Chewer spreads its catalog wider than cannabis packaging, in its case into mushroom cultivation supplies.

Which one should you pick?
Pick PackTHC if packaging is what you’re buying and you care about who makes it. In-house manufacturing, stock spread across five states and a price-match promise cover the things that usually go wrong with a packaging supplier: bad batches, slow freight and price creep.
Pick MJ Wholesale if your packaging order is one line on a much bigger restock that includes glass, papers and lighters, or if you want labels applied for you before the product arrives.
Pick Dragon Chewer if you operate in several states and want compliance labels and premium pre-roll boxes from the same supplier as your bags and vials.
Plenty of operators end up using two of these at once. A common split is core containers from the cheapest reliable source and labels or accessories from whoever does them best. Order the sample kits first, put each supplier’s 6 dram vial and 116mm tube on the same counter, and open each one a few dozen times. The lid that still clicks shut on the fortieth try is the one to buy.
