The post quickly drew mixed reactions as some fans learned about his daughter for the first time. O’Shea Jackson Shares Sweet Birthday Message For Daughter
On Instagram, O’Shea Jackson Jr. penned a sweet message for his nine-year-old daughter. His August 4 post also includes a single image of two wet footprints, which are his and a young child’s. His caption was addressed to his “baby” and began by saying his life changed forever nine years ago.
“I felt a love I had never felt before. A feeling of purpose I had never felt before. A new focus. A new drive. New wants, new fears, new laughs. New tears….a whole new me. And it all came with … a little me. That, of course, being you,” O’Shea wrote.
Additionally, in the caption, Jackson revealed his daughter’s name, Jordan, and expressed his deep love for her and his need for her in his life. “Everything that I do, I do for you. And everything that I DON’T do, I don’t do….for you. You make me so proud to be your dad and all I want in this life is to make you proud to be my daughter,” he added. The actor appeared to suggest that his daughter won’t be seeing his message anytime soon, but will eventually.
“That day you will know that I’ve always felt like I had the smartest, funniest, most beautiful little girl in the entire world. And today is your 9th birthday. And my 9th anniversary of being the luckiest father in the world. I love you baby. Always and forever. Forever and always. Chicken wing chicken wing. Hot dog and bologna.”
Actor Pops Off Over His Daughter’s Privacy
Sometime after O’Shea Jackson Jr. showed his nine-year-old some birthday love, a social media user left what he interpreted as a shady remark. The IG user said, “Awww! He finally wanted to stop “hiding the world” from her,” and added laughing emojis. In response, Jackson Jr. explained that he’s giving his daughter the choice of being in the spotlight, like his father Ice Cube did for him.
“If she chooses a life in the light then so be it. But I will not force her into a life with no privacy. It’s why people don’t even realize how many siblings I have. It’s why you never seen my father do MTV cribs or one of that. You don’t have to share what you love with people who don’t love you. But y’all can get her cute little footprint from when she was 4 this time lol.”
