Meghan McCain urged Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to stop traveling around Europe with his “alleged mistress” as he prepares for a closely watched U.S. Senate election in November.
Meghan McCain calls out Ken Paxton
Paxton, boosted by an endorsement from President Donald Trump, defeated longtime incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the Texas Republican primary. He will face Democrat James Talarico in the general election, with polling showing the race separated by only a few points.
McCain weighed in after Puck reported that Trump planned to deploy more than $400 million from the MAGA Inc. PAC’s “cash hoard” to support favored candidates — including Paxton — in the upcoming midterm elections.
Responding to the report, McCain offered some blunt campaign advice to the Republican candidate. “For a start, it would be great if Ken Paxton would stop traveling to Europe with his alleged mistress and the photos of them together weren’t blasted all over the Daily Mail for the entire world to see.”
McCain was referring to reports and photographs involving Paxton and Christian influencer Tracy Duhon, with whom he reportedly cheated on his wife.
Ken Paxton’s trip to London

The Daily Mail published photos on July 7 showing Paxton spending time in London with Duhon over the Fourth of July. The outlet had previously reported that the pair were spotted together in Iceland for what it described as a “romantic getaway.” The two have allegedly been “romantically involved” since 2024.
The reports emerged as Paxton remains involved in divorce proceedings with his wife, a Texas state senator who previously accused him of infidelity.
Divorce proceedings

Ken Paxton and his estranged wife initially sought to keep records from their divorce proceedings private. Several state and national news organizations later intervened, arguing the documents should be public because both are elected officials and the case raises matters of public interest.
The media organizations argued that “the grounds alleged for divorce and the disposition of property are of substantial public interest because they bear on integrity in public office, potential use of public resources and transparency in judicial proceedings.”
The divorcing duo eventually agreed in December 2025 to unseal the records, while maintaining privacy redactions for sensitive information including Social Security numbers and home addresses.
