King Charles III and Queen Camilla are just like any normal couple.

Despite being two of the most famous people in the world, the couple reportedly still has sweet pet names for each other.

According to HELLO!, Charles calls Camilla “Gladys,” while the former Duchess of Cornwall calls her husband “Fred.”

The pair appear to have taken inspiration from The Goon Show, a BBC radio series that aired between 1951 and 1960.

The monikers were highlighted during Season 4 of The Crown.

Diana saw the bracelet Charles gave to Camilla with ‘G’ & ‘F’ engraved into it

Charles and Camilla’s names for each other reportedly predate their marriage. The 78-year-old’s ex-wife, Princess Diana, claimed she found a bracelet Charles gave to Camilla with “G” & “F” engraved into it when they were still together.

“I walked into this man’s office one day, and I said, ‘Ooh, what’s in that parcel?’ And he said, ‘Oh, you shouldn’t look at that,” the former Princess of Wales told biographer Andrew Morton in 1997 via HELLO!

“So I opened it, and there was a gold chain bracelet with a blue enamel disc. It’s got ‘G and F’ entwined in it, ‘Gladys’ and ‘Fred’ — they were their nicknames,” Diana recalled to the writer.

Diana said there were ‘three’ people in her marriage to Charles

During the late 36-year-old’s 1995 BBC Panorama interview with Martin Bashir, she hinted that Charles and Camilla were close even while she was married to the future leader of England.

“Well, there were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded,” Diana said.

The mother of two and Charles separated in 1992 and divorced in 1996 before she died in 1997. The patriarch married the 79-year-old in 2005.

Camilla has a ‘powerful effect’ on Charles

Although the start of their romance might’ve been dramatic, Charles and Camilla have remained a united force for decades.

“Camilla’s gradual, measured introduction into royal duties had a powerful effect on Charles,” body language expert Darren Stanton told InStyle on behalf of Betfair Casino.

“Her strategic restraint and polite, composed demeanor helped create a calm atmosphere around him during a time when public opinion was still shifting,” the specialist pointed out.
