Kevin McHale is dedicating his Broadway debut to someone very special.

The 38-year-old entertainer made his debut on the Great White Way on Tuesday (August 25) in the production of The Rocky Horror Show as Brad Majors, replacing Andrew Durand.

Fans who attended his first night in the show noticed a special dedication in his cast bio in the Playbill.

Following Kevin‘s acting credits in the Playbill, it was noted that his performances are for his late friend and Glee co-star Cory Monteith, who passed away in 2013.

“For Cory, his forever Brad,” the end of Kevin‘s bio reads.

If you recall, Glee had a special episode dedicated to Rocky Horror in season two, titled “The Rocky Horror Show,” where the kids of the Glee Club performed the cult classic musical.

On the Fox TV show, Cory‘s character, Finn Hudson, was cast as Brad Majors alongside Lea Michele‘s Rachel Berry as Janet Weiss.

The morning of his Broadway debut, Kevin took to his Twitter/X account to share how Cory was with him ahead of his first performance.

“Sitting at breakfast and it’s song after song Cory sang on Glee. That’s my Brad,” he wrote, adding a crying face emoji.

After the performance, Kevin shared a group photo of himself with friends who came to support him, including another Glee co-star, Alex Newell, and his boyfriend Austin McKenzie.

“A little family, a little glee, a little Bee – I love my people! I guess I’m on Broadway now! Come see @rockyhorrorbway!” he captioned the photo.

Kevin and Alex recently shared the stage for just over a week in the off-Broadway production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Alex joined the cast this month and started performances on August 7th, while Kevin‘s final performance in the show was August 16th.
