Kaia Gerber may disagree with the rest of the world, as she insists she doesn’t actually look much like her mom, Cindy Crawford, despite the pair being dubbed lookalikes on an almost daily basis.
“In all seriousness, it’s an honor when people tell me I look like my mom,” the rising star said in an interview with Yahoo Entertainment. “I wish I did. I think even on my best days I’m not even close, but like, it means so much to me. I think she’s just the most beautiful woman inside and out. And so if there’s any way that I remind anyone of her, it’s just like the largest compliment.”
Like her famous mom, Gerber is a model and actress, so even if she doesn’t see their physical resemblance, they’ve definitely got that in common.
Gerber, 24, is the daughter of Crawford and her husband since 1998, Rande Gerber. She also has an older brother named Presley Gerber, who is 27.
Right now, Kaia is promoting her new TV show The Shards, a buzzy teen drama based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis and created by TV legend Ryan Murphy.
Amazingly (and confusingly), Kaia stars on the show alongside Homer Gere, 26. This is noteworthy because Cindy and Homer’s father, Richard Gere, were married between 1991 and 1995, though they never had any children together.
Commenting on this weird and wonderful turn of events during a recent interview with E! News, Homer said, “We hadn’t met before shooting. Two weeks before, we met at a bar with all the other cast, and we became friends. It’s funny.”
“From the inside, it’s really normal. We just became friends as coworkers before we started working, and she’s become a really close friend. It’s been lovely working with her,” he continued.
Kaia appeared to enjoy working with Homer just as much. “It was so lovely to work with him,” she said during the same interview. “He’s so wonderful. He’s so funny. He makes me laugh so hard, and he’s the greatest scene partner ever. And really, it’s such a supportive environment, and we’ve gotten so close over this process.”
The Shards premiered on August 5 on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally. The show also stars Evan Rachel Wood, Igby Rigney, Graham Campbell and Hayes Warner.
As for Kaia’s personal life, she is currently dating Marvel actor Lewis Pullman since early 2025, per People.
