Gwen Stefani marked her husband Blake Shelton’s 50th birthday with a heartfelt social media tribute that celebrated their relationship and his life over the years.
Stefani took to Instagram on June 18 to share a compilation video for the occasion. The clip began with a look at Shelton’s birthday setup decorated with balloons and floral arrangements before moving through his childhood photos. It ended with a throwback selfie of the couple, a recent close-up of Shelton’s face and a zoomed-out shot of the entire birthday decor.
Stefani kept the caption of the clip simple yet affectionate, writing, “happy birthday @blakeshelton I love you !!!!!!!”
The couple tied the knot in July 2021 at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch after first meeting in 2014 while working as coaches on The Voice. They have since continued to publicly celebrate each other’s personal and professional milestones.
Last month, Shelton attended one of No Doubt’s shows at the Sphere in Las Vegas and later praised Stefani and her band on Instagram. Sharing a brief clip of Stefani’s performance, he captioned the post, “So proud of my wife @gwenstefani and the @nodoubt guys for working their a**** off and putting on this h*** of a show.. finally got a night off to see it.. un-freakin-real.”
Shelton recently concluded his own Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Many of his dates coincided with No Doubt’s concerts at the Sphere, which has a significantly larger capacity.
Addressing the overlapping schedule in January, Shelton joked to People, “I’ll be in direct competition with my wife. I’m excited about that because I know there’ll be probably a little bit of trash talking.”
However, he did acknowledge the contrast between the Colosseum’s 4,100 seats and the Sphere’s 20,000 capacity. “Whether we both sell out, there’s a big difference in selling out the Sphere and selling out Caesars, so she’ll have that over my head,” he told the outlet.
Celebrating their 4th wedding anniversary last year, both singers shared messages on social media expressing appreciation for each other.
Captioning his Instagram post, Shelton wrote, “My pretty girl… I’m the luckiest man to be married to you and to know you. I love you @gwenstefani!!!!!! Happy anniversary!!!!”
Stefani, meanwhile, captioned her own post, “7-3-21. every day i thank God for u @blakeshelton. happy anniversary… i love u so much.”
