Charlie Gillespie is one of the new lead stars of Heated Rivalry season two and he’s definitely a hot rising star you should know more about!
The 27-year-old actor is best known for playing Luke Patterson in the short-lived Netflix musical series Julie and the Phantoms, which ran for one season in 2020. You might also know him from the 2018 reboot of Charmed or his role in Tubi’s Sidelined film series.
Charlie stayed close friends with the team behind Julie and the Phantoms, including co-star Owen Patrick Joyner and director Kenny Ortega, and was spotted on vacation with them back in January 2023. They were all spotted on a trip to Brazil, where they attended a fan convention that year.
Charlie was seen getting in a workout on the beach with Owen and having fun in the water with the group. At one point, he had Kenny on his shoulders!

In Heated Rivalry, Charlie will be playing Ottawa Centaurs forward Troy Barrett, who has a history of being a bully and is going through a breakup with his boyfriend when he falls for Harris.
His love interest has also been announced!

Justice and Charlie do exactly that,” the Heated Rivalry execs said about the casting. “They immediately connected with the vulnerability and resilience at the core of these characters, bringing an instinctive understanding of who Harris and Troy are.”
Deadline confirms that the second season will air in Spring 2027.
