Adam Scott and his wife Naomi attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding at the iconic Manhattan venue and he told Craig Melvin the paradox of it all: the wedding was more crowded than his own, but at it’s core, the intimacy and authenticity remained intact.
The actor shared these details on his Monday, August 24 appearance on NBC’s Today show.
“What we walked away with, the impression we had more than anything, was that it was a real wedding. You had the sense that these are just people who love each other,” Scott said.
“It was kind of on a grand scale…but at its core, it just felt like a regular wedding with two people coming together. Everyone teared up. It was a really lovely, lovely event.”

Melvin also asked about Scott’s teenage daughter, Francesca “Frankie”, a known fan of the “Lover” singer. The 16-year-old reportedly got super excited when her father received the invitation, even though she didn’t get to attend the ceremony.
“So I lost some points at the same time,” Scott added. “But she stayed up and waited for us to come home that night to get all the details.”
But The Severance star refused to share any more details and joked, “you can have her on and she’ll tell you what happened.”
The grand wedding
Swift and Kelce transformed Madison Square Garden into what guests described as a “secret garden.” According to reports from attendees visitors walked through a tunnel lined with photographs that showed the couple’s lives from childhood through their three-year relationship before entering the decorated ceremonial space.
Adam Sandler served as officiant for the couple, as Swift’s brother Austin Swift served as man of honor, while Jason Kelce, served as the best man.
The couple exchanged vows in custom Christian Dior Haute Couture designs and following the ceremony and reception, Madison Square Garden’s exterior screens displayed the message “JUST&T MARRIED!” as a public announcement of their nuptials.
The star-studded guest list
The guest list included Hollywood stars Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, Jason Sudeikis, Bradley Cooper, Zoë Kravitz and Chris Rock among others.
Swift’s friends Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran also made it to the guest list, joined by several of the songstress’ musical peers including Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Avril Lavigne and Camilla Cabello.
The wedding had performances from Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks, where the former Beatle performed the classic “I Want to Hold Your Hand” from the band’s discography.
The couple’s journey
Swift first appeared publicly with Kelce in September 2023. The relationship garnered widespread media attention, particularly during the 2024 NFL season when Swift attended multiple Chiefs games and playoff contests.
Their engagement announcement came nearly two years into the public relationship, shortly after Swift made her appearance on the Kelce brothers’ podcast “New Heights.”
Swift gushed over the ring during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon show as she told him, “I look at it constantly. I’m just like, oh man, whoa! But it’s more than that.”
“He’s just my favorite person I’ve ever met—no offense to everyone else. But the fact that this is the person that I get to hang out with every day forever is just like, that’s the whole thing,” she added. “You look at that and you’re like, ‘I’m going to hang out with him forever and this represents that.”‘
