90 Day Fiancé star Armando Rubio shared an emotional update on his daughter Hannah’s health, expressing concern for her as doctors in the United States continue to search for the cause of her medical emergency while he remains in Mexico.
In a July 16 Instagram video, Rubio said he spoke with his husband, Kenny Niedermeier, who is with Hannah at a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. Niedermeier told him that Hannah’s latest MRI scans did not identify the cause of her condition.
He added that doctors are preparing to perform a more invasive procedure, which will access an area through Hannah’s neck. This procedure may take between one and eight hours and is expected to give doctors further information. “So it’s definitely scary. Scary hearing that and scary hearing the neck part,” he said.
Struggling to hold back tears, Rubio spoke about being separated from Hannah while she remains hospitalized in Arizona. He asked supporters to continue praying for her recovery and expressed gratitude for the support and financial assistance his family has received.
“I miss my baby girl. I don’t want to lose her. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, guys,” Rubio said, before thanking those who donated for Hannah through GoFundMe. “You guys all have been angels through this and made it a little easier even though I can’t be with her,” he stated.

Rubio first shared Hannah’s medical crisis on Instagram on July 14 after noticing alarming symptoms when she told him she was feeling unwell. He said that her face appeared to droop, while half of her body had lost strength.
Due to limited medical equipment in their hometown in Mexico, Hannah was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Arizona, then airlifted to a facility in Phoenix. Doctors determined she had suffered a brain bleed.
Earlier on July 16, Rubio shared another update on Instagram, explaining that specialists were still investigating the cause of her condition. “The doctors are continuing to run more extensive scans as I write this, and the neurologist is still searching for the cause of what happened to Hannah,” he wrote.
He further added, “We’re hoping to have the results from today’s scan sometime tomorrow. If those don’t provide answers, the medical team plans to move forward with a more invasive procedure in the next day or two.”
While Hannah receives treatment in the United States, Rubio remains in Mexico because he cannot cross the border. He told Page Six on July 15 that his request for temporary humanitarian parole was denied, and he was informed that no such requests have been approved since 2025.
“Every parent wants to be at their child’s bedside when they’re sick, and not being able to hold her hand or comfort her has been the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced… I am doing everything within my power to be reunited with her because, more than anything, she needs her daddy, and I need to be with my little girl,” Rubio told the outlet.
